Imputation

There is a debate today over the issue of justification, particularly one aspect of it: The imputation of Christ’s righteousness. I want to know your thoughts but don’t forget to first define your terms:

Imputation means “to think of as belonging to another”. For me, it is wearing your brothers Tux to the prom and looking good in it!! Just kidding! Seriously, Imputed righteousness is the act by which the righteousness of Christ is given and thus treated as if it were theirs through faith. It is on the basis of this "alien" righteousness that God accepts us. This acceptance is one half of justification the other being forgiveness of sin.

I have always seen the below passages clearly teaching that imputation. What do you think?

Rom 3:21- 26 (Key in on Rom 3:21-22, 24)
21 But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it— 22 the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction: 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25 whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God's righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins. 26 It was to show his righteousness at the present time, so that he might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.

Rom 4:6-8
6 just as David also speaks of the blessing of the one to whom God counts righteousness apart from works: 7 “Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, and whose sins are covered; 8 blessed is the man against whom the Lord will not count his sin.”

Rom 5:9, 17, 19
9 Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God.

17 For if, because of one man's trespass, death reigned through that one man, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ

19 For as by the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man's obedience the many will be made righteous

Rom 8:1
There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

Rom 10:4
4. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

1 Cor 1:30
30. And because of him, you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption,

2 Cor 5:21
21. For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

Phil 3:9
9. and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith.
